Matthew Gaudreau leaves behind his wife, Madeline, and their unborn son, Tripp. To help Madeline and the baby through this unimaginably difficult time, a GoFundMe campaign has been established. The outpouring of support from fans, players, and the broader hockey community highlights this tragedy's profound impact on everyone involved.

Several NHL players have stepped up with donations to support the Gaudreau family, including former Boston College teammates Thatcher Demko and Mike Matheson, along with other NHLers such as Cayden Primeau, Colin White, Adam Boqvist, and Dylan Cozens, alongside numerous anonymous contributions.
