Minnesota Vikings' potential divisional round opponent set after wild card weekend

The final two games on Sunday were going to decide the Vikings' fate if they get the win on Monday night and we now know the schedule for the divisional round.

Vikings divisional opponent would be the Eagles

Sunday afternoon was the first NFC wild card game, as the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Green Bay Packers 22-10 in the late afternoon game. In the night game, the Washington Commanders got their first playoff win since 2005 when they beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, by beating the Buccaneers 23-20.

With those games done, the schedule for the divisional round is set with games on Saturday, January 18th, and Sunday, January 19th.

  • Saturday 3:30 CT: Houston Texans vs. Kansas City Chiefs
  • Saturday 7:00 CT: Washington Commanders vs. Detroit Lions
  • Sunday 2:00 CT: Minnesota Vikings/Los Angeles Rams vs. Philadelphia Eagles
  • Sunday 5:30 CT: Baltimore Ravens vs. Buffalo Bills

The Vikings know who they will have to face in the divisional round, but they still have to beat the Rams on Monday night. If they can't do that, who they would face in the divisional round is moot.

Now that the schedule is set, we can plan on a potential Vikings game next Sunday.
