Maxx Crosby Reacts to Brock Bowers' Personal Announcement

Brock Bowers is preparing for his second season as a talented tight end weapon for the Las Vegas Raiders in 2025.

After joining the Raiders franchise as the No. 13 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft, Bowers went on to record a historic rookie season. The former Georgia Bulldogs pass catcher is the new rookie record holder for tight end receiving yards in a debut season (1,194). He also set a new rookie receptions record with 112 catches in Year 1.

Bowers left the University of Georgia after his junior season. While he has a bright NFL future ahead of him, the two-time national champion still wanted to finish what he started in Athens: an undergraduate finance degree.

Bowers received his diploma at a graduation ceremony in Athens this past Friday.

"Another big moment for @brockbowers !!" Bowers shared in a joint Instagram post with Georgia Football and the Raiders.

Bowers' Las Vegas teammate Maxx Crosby took to the comment section to congratulate his second-year TE.

"Congrats Brother," Crosby wrote.

Bowers won two consecutive Mackey Awards during his collegiate career with Georgia. The all-time great college tight end finished his time in Athens with 175 catches for 2,538 yards and 26 touchdowns.

"To speak on [Bowers'] work ethic, when I walk in there in the morning, like 5:45, it is me and Brock, every day," Crosby said of Bowers during an interview earlier this year. "That is the first thing I look at, it is me and him. He is eating in his corner, I am eating, smacking my breakfast and I am getting on with my day. It is literally me and him every day. So, that is the first thing I notice."

"I am like okay. He is consistent, he has a routine, he is doing his thing but he is just so quiet. He is a quiet kid. He does not say much but he just works," Crosby continued. "And he shows up every day. I knew from the first OTA, you just watch him run around and it is just so effortless, he is so smooth in how he runs routes. You can just watch his highlights. It does not look like he is doing crazy moves, or breaking people up, he is just always open. He is so athletic and he is so smooth as an athlete, he makes it look easy and that is when you know you are a different type of player."

Bowers was not present when the Raiders began voluntary offseason workouts on April 8. But now that he's finished his college degree, he's expected to be back with the team for OTAs later this month.
