Lonzo Ball delivers 1 promise to Sky’s Angel Reese after shocking ejection

Problems in officiating are creeping up into the WNBA. While Angel Reese has a strong personality that she carried over from LSU to the Chicago Sky, she rarely goes out of her way to annoy someone and breaks the rules. So when her night during their battle against the New York Liberty ended very early, it caught people's eyes. Everyone thought the ejection was very unfair. Even, Lonzo Ball of the Chicago Bulls was left scratching his head for the call that was made against her.

Lonzo Ball delivers 1 promise to Sky's Angel Reese after shocking ejection

Lonzo Ball baffled by the ejection

Angel Reese is going to be vocal and voice out her concerns. It's part of who she is and that's why a lot of avid spectators of the WNBA like watching her. She came across the need to air out a concern during the Sky's intense battle with the Liberty. The words, “That's bullsh**t,” were uttered after that while her arms were flailed up in the air. For the officials, they had seen enough. Two technical fouls were assessed to the Sky rookie and she was ejected out of the game.

A lot of people did not understand why Angel Reese was thrown out, to begin with. Lonzo Ball reached out online to blast the referee during this Sky and Liberty clash. The Bulls guard even offered to pay the fine for her.

“Ref that threw out @Reese10Angel is weak btw… You know who you are (Keep ya money Angel I got you),” Lonzo Ball wrote.

It was not only the Bulls player who came out to defend the rookie out of the Sky. Even her opponent, Sabrina Ionescu, could not understand why she was thrown out of the game for simply letting her emotions out during the game. The sharpshooter went to the officials and asked, “She got two techs for saying that's bullsh**?”

There is still no clear statement for the WNBA as to why those two words were grave enough to push them to eject her. Surely, other members of the Sky faithful were livid about the situation. Reese, after all, was having a nice outing against the Liberty. Had they not pulled her out of this game, there would have been a chance that the Liberty would have been beaten.

All momentum from the Sky was halted when Reese left before crunch time. The lead that they had entering the fourth quarter was quickly disintegrating. They needed a spark plug and being one woman down did not help. Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu took advantage of the situation and ran with it. They ended up preventing the Sky from scoring more than nine points in the fourth while recording 23 points of their own.

Reese, nonetheless, kept shooting to keep her team afloat. She ended the night with 13 points while only missing one of her eight free throws. Despite going three for 10 on the field, she managed to impact the game in other ways. By the end of it, she finished with a double-double by grabbing 10 rebounds. Reese also notched a steal and an assist before having to leave the floor due to the ejection.
