Oilers superstar Leon Draisaitl won't be participating in the 4 Nations Faceoff tournament, so instead he took the time off to schedule his wedding in Paris with fiancée Celeste Desjardins.
Draisaitl and Desjardins officially announced their engagement on social media last summer, and have since revealed the date and location to be next summer in Paris, France.
Leon Draisaitl and Celeste Desjardins reveal wedding details on 4 Nations Break
Draisaitl's fiancée Desjardins shared numerous photos of the couple's trip to Paris, seeing the sites and visiting the venue to plan details for their upcoming wedding.
Desjardins captioned a photo of Leon as "Future Hubs" and detailed their visit of their hotel and food planning for the wedding.
It's great to see Leon Draisaitl thriving in his personal life off the ice while also in the midst of an MVP level season with the Edmonton Oilers.
If Draisaitl is happy off the ice with his soon to be wife, it'll make his on-ice performance even better and create a great environment in Edmonton.
Edmonton Oilers thriving off ice during 4 Nations Faceoff break
The Oilers superstar is putting down roots with his young new family in Edmonton, just like Captain Connor McDavid is after marrying Lauren Kyle this summer. Draisaitl signed a long term contract extension after getting engaged, and McDavid looks likely to do the same.
A few other Oilers have already shared their 4 Nations break plans too, with Troy Stecher and Kasperi Kapanen getting up to some golf during the break.
Surely, more than a few Oilers are also on a beach somewhere enjoying this short break during the long season. It's a well-deserved and needed break for the entire team, and hopefully they can come back to play with a clear mind and fully ready for the final stretch of the year.
