I should start this blog by admitting that, look, I know Adam Gase is an easy mark. He lost a lot of games, said a lot of silly things, and made a lot of silly faces while saying all those silly things. It's easy to dunk on Gase for a lot of reasons, most which were brought on by himself. Even if it's not totally fair all the time, it's a timeless bit.
Your latest example? Le'Veon Bell. The former Jets' running back hopped on Twitter today and decided to get messy for no reason. (Don't we all?) And it worked: Bell's post immediately endeared himself with Jets fans that, you know, may have not been his biggest fan at any point in the last decade.
I mean, it's funny. Adam Gase, if you're reading this, I'm sorry – it's just funny. Ignoring the fact that Bell is tweeting out photos of what looks like several thousand dollars casually strewn over a living room table, it's simply too clean of a joke to clutch my pearls over.
And I know someone is out there, right now, re-watching all of the Gase Jets tape to see if he actually ran HB dive on 2nd and long more than average. If that's you, (I know it's not, but just in case it is) please stop wasting your time. No good will come from that. Le'Veon Bell roasted Adam Gase on Twitter, and there's nothing any of us can do about it. The die has been cast. Wherever Gase is now, let's just hope he doesn't have internet access.
