Latest Cam Jurgens injury report is music to the ears of Eagles fans

There were so many moments that stood out during the Philadelphia Eagles' Super Bowl run. Where might we be had Jalen Carter not sacked Matt Stafford during the final Los Angeles Rams drive?

What would we be talking about today had the Birds not hired Vic Fangio? What if Kellen Moore had stayed in Los Angeles, but there's an old saying (or maybe Nick Sirianni said this, we forget). Coaches' jobs get a tad easier when they have good players on their roster to lead.

It's pretty well known that, despite what the injury reports tell us, every Eagles star is battling injury every season. One of the defining moments of Philly's championship push was a legacy game played by Cam Jurgens and teammate Landon Dickerson. Both gutted it out during the NFC Championship Game.

Jurgens was recovering from a back injury and, thus, too injured to start the NFCCG, but he remained active in case there were any emergencies. Landon started at center despite dealing with a lower body injury and pushed through the pain until he couldn't any longer.

Jurgens stepped in to relieve Landon and finish the game. Seeing those two give it their all was awe-inspiring. With the season done and the parade over (By the way, that was a great speech by Landon), most Eagles are taking care of some medical issues they've been ignoring.

Philly's star center caught a flight out to Los Angeles.

Adam Schefter is ESPN's senior NFL insider. His report is good news. Back injuries are tricky and, at times, tougher to completely recover from than any other. See former Eagles star and fellow Birds Super Bowl hero Timmy Jernigan. He never played a full season again after sustaining his.

Fingers are crossed for Cam's speedy recovery. He's coming off his first Pro Bowl season, and if he can remain healthy, he'll enjoy a long and successful career in Philadelphia!
