The Las Vegas Raiders are gearing up for the 2024 season, and they are pretty much ready, with their initial 53-man roster already having some changes to it, and the Raiders bolstering their secondary with additions of Darnay Holmes, who previously played for the New York Giants. They are ready.
But, after finishing their third preseason game, and basically losing all three to the Minnesota Vikings, Dallas Cowboys, and a tie to the San Francisco 49ers, the Raiders still have a break between that last game to the first game of the season.
So, Antonio Pierce, the Raiders head coach, has kept busy for the Raiders. He's finding himself on TV and social media doing what could be his career after coaching and football is all done. Who knows?
He posted a video on his Twitter, or X account, of him wearing Raiders gear and a coaching headset, while yelling at a chef the same way a coach does during a game or practice.
"You practice how you play," Pierce yelled in the video and then yelled again to a chef in the back.
It was good acting, and Pierce didn't break character once and even threw in a coach butt slap at the end. In all seriousness, it's clear these guys don't have much to do right now. So, in other words, football needs to hurry up.
On Sunday, the Raiders will take on the Los Angeles Chargers.
