The Las Vegas Raiders have lost yet another game, and while that is ultimately what should happen to help guarantee the best pick possible in the 2025 NFL Draft where the Raiders really need to select a quarterback, it's getting tough to watch every week. At 2-12, the Raiders haven't had a season this bad since 2006, when they finished 2-14.
Before that, 1962 was the worst season, finishing with just one win. Now, I wasn't there in the '60s, but I have to say that season couldn't have possibly been harder to watch than this one, where the offense can't really do anything right, the game is being mismanaged every quarter, and the defense is hanging on by a thread.
And to make matters worse, Antonio Pierce continues to show up to the podium with a smile on his face after every game. Maybe it's because he is happy doing his dream job. Who knows, but what I do know is that he finally showed a glimpse of frustration to the media after the loss.
"Everybody. Coaches, players, staff, organization, listen, man, we aren't winning, I don't know what else to tell y'all," Pierce said after the game to the media. "We aren't winning. Do I want to win? Sh*t, hell yeah I want to win. Do I want to keep sitting here and looking at the same g** d*** thing every week, and keep having the same discussion with y'all? No. We have guys that are battling. It doesn't matter, next man up. These guys aren't budging, and I'm not budging."
The Raiders lost, and while they did compete, you could kind of say anyway, it wasn't pretty. They had so many chances to win the game, and continue to find new ways to lose the game, whether it be a blocked field goal, blocked punt, botched snap, or anything else you can think of. Last season, it felt like the Raiders had a roster that was close to competing and winning postseason games.
This season has shown us that they were never really close at all. After 10 straight losses, the Raiders will play the Jacksonville Jaguars next, and then the New Orleans Saints and the Los Angeles Chargers.
