Neither Dickerson nor the Eagles have disclosed the severity of the former Alabama All-American’s injury, but it’s going to take more than that to make Dickerson leave the field on Sunday in Super Bowl LIX.

“Probably getting carted off on a stretcher,” Dickerson told Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer about what it would take to get him out of Sunday’s NFL championship game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Philadelphia’s injury report showed Dickerson and center Cam Jurgens as full participants in practice on Wednesday.

Normally, Dickerson is the Eagles’ left guard, and he’s been a Pro Bowl selection for three consecutive seasons. But he started at center in the NFC Championship Game because Jurgens was dealing with a back injury. When Dickerson left the game with his knee injury, Jurgens had to play anyway and completed the contest that sent Philadelphia to the Super Bowl.

On Wednesday, Dickerson continually told reporters “I’m good” as they asked about his health in New Orleans, where the Eagles and Chiefs will square off in Super Bowl LIX at 5:30 p.m. Sunday CST at Caesars Superdome.

Dickerson explained to WJYN-FM in Philadelphia why he and Jurgens played hurt against the Commanders.

“I think for the rest of our lives we’ll have every opportunity to watch the Super Bowl,” Dickerson said. “There’s guys that spend their whole career never being able to play in that Super Bowl. I think for us the mindset was we want to go out there and do everything we can possible to put the team in the best position to make it back here to have an opportunity to play in this game. For us, you’re not really guaranteed anything in this sport, or in life really, so just making sure that we have that opportunity ahead of us.”
