The New York Giants are entering a year where they are at a serious crossroads, and if Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen don’t lead a team with serious success, they’ll likely be out of a job.
This is where Kliff Kingsbury comes into play, as he’s going to be one of the most highly-touted coaches of next years cycle.
If the Giants draft a quarterback like Sheduer Sanders or Jaxson Dart, you could expect the Giants to have a poor season as the entire offense is not built for success outside of Malik Nabers, On the flip side, if they don’t draft a QB, and roll with Russell Wilson or Jameis Winston in 2025, Kingsbury could enter the 2026 season with his pick of choice at a draft pick QB.
Here’s why the Giants should swap Brian Daboll for Kingsbury.
Kliff Kingsbury the #1 Head Coach Candidate
Here’s an excerpt from another article from TWSN early in the offseason where the Saints needed a head coach:
“That is with the help of Kingsbury. This season the Commanders ranked fourth in scoring, which carries over from his offensive success with the Cardinals where from 2019-2022 was in the top 10 for total offense, rushing offense, and touchdowns. Kingsbury knows how to establish a culture, knows how to turn an offense around, and has head coaching experience. All of which are why he is the most ideal candidate for the Saints next head coach”
TWSN’s Marissa Myers was very clear here that the Commanders have had an amazing season and Kingsbury got a ton of credit for it. It’s very similar to Ben Johnson turning down the Commanders job last offseason as he wanted to wait another year for a better opportunity and it opened in Chicago.
Kingsbury is smart to bank on another year of success with Washington, and they have the base of a team that is going to be very successful again this season,
