Katie Maloney never doubted her self-worth. And the Vanderpump Rules star came into her element after splitting from ex-husband Tom Schwartz. The pair were together for twelve years before the Something About Her co-founder filed for divorce in March 2022.
Katie was linked to several people after her divorce, some of which appeared on camera with her for VPR Season 10 and 11. Katie and Tori Keeth shared a steamy kiss in the most recent season. Satchel Clendenin was briefly by her side in the aftermath of Scandoval.
The entrepreneur gave a recent update on her dating life. And what she is looking for in a partner.
Katie only wants to get involved with a “person of substance”
Katie was a guest on a recent episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast where she denied having a “type” or favoring a gender.
“I like hot people,” she stated.
While Katie is “not dating” currently, she’s open to meeting someone. But it has to be a person of substance for her to get involved. And she’s not scraping around on dating apps either.
“Unless someone’s really down to be serious about stuff, I don’t really want to date,” Katie explained. “If someone wants to date me, they have to prove that they deserve a place in my life.”
She added, “I mean at this point, because I was sort of casually dating around so much, and then I was like, OK, I think I’m much more emotionally available than I realized, so I was getting hurt a bit.”
Katie has had the most success being introduced to someone through friends. She’s also responded to DM’s on Instagram.
Meanwhile, Tom has moved on with Sophia Skoro. His ex-wife is unfazed, however she does connect with the name as Sophia was her “American Girl doll’s name.”
“Now it’s kind of like, I don’t care what you do,” she said. “I know people want to ask me about like, Tom’s new girlfriend, I’m like, ‘great.'”
“I’m just not affected by if he’s dating someone, or who it is, or, you know, if it happened to be one of my friends, it might be a little weird,” Katie added. “But, at this point, I think I could handle it.”
