The Kansas City Chiefs have had a few days off following their 27-20 victory over the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night. While most of the other NFL teams played on Sunday, Chiefs players were free to use their weekend for whatever they wanted to do before returning to the practice field on Monday.
As many fans are well-aware, tight end Travis Kelce jetted off to Brooklyn with his girlfriend, 14-time Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift.
In what may be a surprise to some fans, they were joined by Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, with whom Swift was rumored to have had a falling out.
The reason why Kelce and Swift spent the weekend in New York became apparent when they showed up for the US Open, the professional tennis tournament (not to be confused with the PGA golf tournament of the same name).
They were joined by Mahomes and his wife at the event, a sign that the rumored feud between Swift and Brittany was just that: a rumor.
During the Chiefs and Ravens game, Swift was seen in a suite with Kelce’s parents and Mecole Hardman’s fiancé. In the past, she has shared a suite with Mahomes’ family.
Many guessed that the popstar did not want to sit with Mahomes because the latter supports former President Donald Trump while the former has endorsed Democratic candidates in the past.
However, it was revealed earlier that Mahomes wanted to sit in a more relaxed environment due to her kids being present instead of Kelce’s family booth, which has more of a party atmosphere.
