Speaking to Anthony Chiang and the press, via Legion Hoops, Butler spoke about what the new season will be like and why all he wants to do is win.

Butler said:

“If we’re being brutally honest, no matter what, nothing I do now is going to get me paid any more money. Even though I don’t care about the money. All-NBA… none of that is going to matter. I’m at a point right now that I got more than enough money. I’m just here to win.”

Butler has earned millions of dollars throughout his career, as well as a few important accolades like steals champion, Eastern Conference Finals MVP, Most Improved Player, and six All-Star appearances.

His career is legendary and he’s likely secured his spot in the Hall of Fame.

However, Butler has never been a champion and will not rest until he gets a ring.

But there are many questions and concerns about that happening with the Heat.

The team has shown moments of brilliance over the last few years but they have consistently come up short and now there are rumors of Butler and the front office not seeing eye-to-eye on an extension.

Therefore, Butler might not ever get his championship ring with the Heat.

But based on this latest statement, it sounds like he is going to try incredibly hard this season to make that happen.
