'I Always Wanted That to Happen' – New York Knicks OG Anunoby Gets Shoutout From 2-Time Academy Award Winner for Giving Her a Bucketlist Moment

OG Anunoby has gained a new fan in Anne Hathaway during the New York Knicks’ 124-123 loss to the Chicago Bulls at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday evening.

Anne Hathaway and her son Jack were watching the game when the one-time NBA champion nearly crashed into the Oscar-winning actress while pursuing a loose ball after deflecting Josh Giddey’s crosscourt pass. Neither Hathaway nor Anunoby got hurt, although Jack’s jaw dropped in shock, and the former even called the run-in a “bucket-list moment.”

“I almost got crashed into last night!” Hathaway said on Instagram. “I always wanted that to happen. Thanks, OG!”

“You’re welcome, Anunoby replied in her comments.

Anunoby finished the game with 14 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and two blocks on 5-for-14 shooting from the field in 36 minutes of play.
