Giants' Malik Nabers locks in ahead of 'TNF' clash with rival Cowboys

The New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys are fierce divisional rivals. So, Thursday's primetime matchup between the two will be sure to bring the intensity and drama.

One storyline to watch will be between New York rookie receiver Malik Nabers and Dallas veteran cornerback Trevon Diggs.

Both went back and forth online during the offseason, clearly looking forward to this day on the schedule when they'll likely see a lot of one another on the field.

On Tuesday, Nabers refused to talk about Diggs or their apparent feud saying, "it is what it is ... it's game time now."

Nabers said he doesn't know Diggs nor have the two met before, so Thursday's game will be a significant moment for fans and the league.

Thursday also marks the first NFL primetime game of Nabers' young career. When asked if that condition made a difference in his game he simply said, "no."

"It's football," Nabers told a reporter who asked if the opponent being Dallas changed his mindset. "The game is the game, every time I go out there, the game is the game."

Dallas has won the last six meetings with New York, with the Giants' last triumph coming in 2021. Even then, Dallas has dominated the series winning 13 of the last 14 regular season bouts.

Perhaps Nabers' impressive abilities on offense will give New York a different spark this time. The Giants have failed to score more than 20 points against the Cowboys in 11 of their last 14 games.
