Jameis Winston has already won over several New York Giants fans without even throwing a single pass.
The Giants signed Winston to a two-year contract earlier this month to shore up the team’s depth at quarterback. The team introduced Winston via a press conference held Monday.
While speaking to reporters, Winston was asked what he expects from the Giants following their 3-14 campaign last season.

The 31-year-old QB was more than ready with a response.
“It’s required for this organization to start winning,” said the new Giants QB. “So we could have more giggles, more laughter, more fun in this building. We’re in the biggest city in the world. We should enjoy that. And I think winning does that.
“I didn’t look at this team as a 3-14 team. I looked at what was possible. And what I saw was possible is an offense that can execute efficiently and that can be explosive. … They don’t look like a 3-14 team.”
Winston added that he believes the team is ready for a “paradigm shift” and that there’s “no better place to do it” than in New York.
Winston may not even start for the Giants, given that the team also signed Russell Wilson in the offseason. But his inspiring words had fans believing in what’s possible.
It’s going to take a huge turnaround for the Giants to suddenly become a winning team following their abysmal 2024 season. But whether or not they’re able to pull it off, the fans will at least have Winston’s motivational speeches to listen to.
