Former quarterback signals warning for Chicago Bears about prominent HC candidate

Most Chicago Bears fans want Ben Johnson or Mike Vrabel to be the next head coach of the team.

On the off the chance that the Bears do not land Johnson and Vrabel takes the job with the New England Patriots, Brian Flores has been a prominent candidate mentioned.

The Chicago Bears may want to slow down their interest in Brian Flores

Flores interviewed for the job the last time around and is connected to Ryan Poles, who appears to be running this show. Flores has an attitude and scheme that works, but the Bears must vet the ending of his tenure with the Miami Dolphins.

Ryan Fitzpatrick, who once played under Flores, did not hold back when talking about Flores' downfall with the Dolphins. Fitzpatrick was at the center of the drama with Tua Tagovailoa.

Fitzpatrick said that Flores started hot, but as his tenure went on, he became unrecognizable. He used big words such as ego, dictator, burned bridges, my way or the highway mentality, and lack of collaboration. Fitzpatrick went on to say that there were horror stories when he left.

This is notable especially because Flores would be in charge of Caleb Williams' development if he became the Bears' head coach.

There is a chance that Flores has grown and learned from this area. However, it is just as much of a question as to what type of staff he can put together if he burns bridges during his time with the Dolphins.

Flores is a great defensive mind, but there are real questions about how he can be a head coach, and his former player confirming the fears is not a good look.
