Former Oiler Dylan Holloway Tells the Truth About Connor McDavid in the Locker Room

Dylan Holloway was always a favourite among Oilers favourite for his young and bubbly personality, and he showed that off with pure excitement when speaking about the truth about playing with Connor McDavid.

In a recent interview with NHL reporter Andy Strickland, Holloway raved about playing with McDavid in every aspect. Being blown away by his talent is a real thing for players with him, but Holloway also stressed what a great locker room leader he is.

Holloway said that he and his Oiler teammates would be continually blown away by what McDavid is capable of on the ice. He even went as far to say that McDavid could be the most skilled player of all time, and surpass Wayne Gretzky as the best player ever.

»He definitely has a presence. I think he'll go down as the most skilled player of all time, maybe the best player of all time. He's so good, but at the same time he likes when the boys kinda give it to him, he likes being one of the boys. He definitely doesn't portray his personality in the media as he does within the dressing room.»

Even with being so far and away the best player in the league, McDavid keeps a sense of humility that hockey players are always known for. McDavid doesn't want special treatment - he just wants to be one of the boys in the locker room.

It's interesting to hear that McDavid is totally different in the locker room than to the media, but Oilers fans got a glimpse of that with the viral video of McDavid screaming at teammates in the locker room.

McDavid is outwardly shy and soft spoken, but in the room, the players see him as an ultimate leader. Dylan Holloway's jolly explanation of McDavid's presence makes it perfectly clear.
