Jailin Walker’s going to find a home real soon. Surprised he didn’t at least make it to camp. https://t.co/jmTUFNhBzT

Walker had signed with the franchise as an un-drafted free agent but will have to look for another opportunity in his young career elsewhere.

Indiana linebacker Jailin Walker declared for the NFL Draft back on Jan 8th, forgoing his sixth year senior season.

Walker who transferred from James Madison was second among Hoosiers with 72 tackles, he also had nine tackles for loss to go along with two sacks and two interceptions in 2024. His best game was against Purdue, with four tackles for loss, an interception, and a forced fumble, earning Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week. Walker also earned honorable mention All-Big Ten from the conference coaches and media last season.

At James Madison under Curt Cignetti he appeared in 32 games with 20 starts over three seasons totaling 139 tackles, 9.5 TFL, 3.5 sacks and 5 forced fumbles, earning All-Sun Belt Honorable Mention in 2022 and 2023.

At 6'1 220 pounds the outside linebacker is a bit undersized for the OLB position but in this day in age as a linebacker he ability to fly across the field sideline to sideline and cover tight ends and running backs and add value for an NFL team.
