Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, still chasing their fourth Super Bowl ring, have officially kicked off their ninth season together as the Kansas City Chiefs opened training camp last week.
With the 2025 NFL season approaching, the two Chiefs stars have also taken a major step forward in a new off-field venture together.
Back in March, Kecle and Mahomes, in partnership with Noble 33, announced they were opening a restaurant together in Kansas City. It is called 1587 Prime and brings “a modern twist to the classic American steakhouse.”
On Tuesday, the duo got to taste the restaurant’s menu for the first time.
“We invited our friends, @patrickmahomes and @killatrav, for a first taste of the 1587 Prime menu,” 1587 Prime wrote on Instagram. “Here’s how it went…”
In the video shared by the steakhouse, the employee introduces a few sauces, including: White truffle butter, chili butter, garlic butter, hibiscus butter, chimichurri and truffle soy.
The clip also included a glimpse of the menu, which featured the following items:
While the menu items were themed around the country, offensive tackle Mitchell Schwartz noticed one fitting item went unmentioned. In the comments, he suggested adding “ketchup butter,” which would align with the vibe 1587 Prime is going for.
“Gotta get that ketchup butter recipe locked in👌,” Schwrtz said.
The restaurant took notice of Schwartz’s comment, replying with two emojis: “@mitchschwartz71 👀😮💨.”
Schwartz was a big part of Mahomes and Kelce’s first championship run in 2019, defeating the 49ers in Super Bowl LIV. He spent five seasons with Kansas City from 2016-2020, making in All-Pro team in four different years.
The Chiefs will kick off the 2025 NFL season on Sept. 5, facing the Los Angeles Chargers in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
