Gaudreau and Lindholm, along with Sean Monahan, formed the Flames' top line and in their first season together - 2018-19 - the trio combined for 259 points and occupied the top three spots in points for Calgary.

After their line would score a goal, Gaudreau would feed purple Gatorade to Elias Lindholm and Sean Monahan when they got back to the bench. Some fans have even left purple Gatorade on the steps of Flames' home, Scotiabank Saddledome.

It's been a rough couple of days for the hockey community as everyone continues to mourn the passing of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau. Please keep the Gaudreau family and their friends in your thoughts during this difficult period of grieving.
