The Ravens’ defense was underwhelming but it did not matter because of their two offensive superstars.

Lamar Jackson vs Derrick Henry: Who is more important?

Domonique Foxworth was a third-round draft pick in 2005 and played 78 games in the NFL before his career was cut short due to knee problems.

The cornerback, who played all 16 games for the Ravens in 2009, gave his verdict on whether Jackson or Henry is more important.

“I love the big plays from Derrick Henry and I love what he adds to the offense,” Foxworth said on Get Up on ESPN. “But I have a hard time, watching this offense and seeing what happens on 3rd down, walking away and saying that Henry is the difference.

“[Henry] is a huge, muscular man who runs fast but let’s not get distracted by the fact that Lamar is the one picking these defenses apart.

“It’s not without Derrick’s contribution, but the difference between this team and last year’s, which I know sounds stupid to say, is that the reigning MVP (Jackson) is better. He’s more controlled, he’s more comfortable, he’s more confident than he’s ever been right now.

Are the Baltimore Ravens the best team in the NFL?

The Kansas City Chiefs are not just the defending champions but the only remaining undefeated team in the NFL.

They have not played the most stylish brand of football and Patrick Mahomes has been far from his best, but it is hard to argue against them being the team to beat.

But Foxworth believes that Jackson and the Ravens are capable of taking down the Chiefs – who beat them 27-20 in week one.

“[Jackson] can beat Mahomes, maybe it’s going to be tough against that Chiefs defense, but this player right here can beat any team in football.”
