First Vikings injury report for Week 13 creates optimism about Cam Robinson

During their win over the Chicago Bears this past Sunday, the Minnesota Vikings saw linebacker Ivan Pace Jr. and left tackle Cam Robinson exit the game early. Well, Pace has already been placed on injured reserve, but based on the first Vikings injury report for Week 13, there seems to still be a chance of Robinson playing this weekend against the Arizona Cardinals.

Minnesota released its first injury report of the week on Wednesday, and Robinson is listed as a limited practice participant due to a foot injury.

It was difficult to remain optimistic about Robinson following his early exit against the Bears this past weekend. However, the fact that he was listed as limited on Wednesday seems like a positive sign for his odds of playing in Week 13 against the Cardinals.

If he isn't able to suit up on Sunday, one can assume Minnesota will turn to David Quessenberry to fill in as the team's starting left tackle. Quessenberry is who replaced Robinson during the Chicago game, and in the contest the backup left tackle allowed one sack and four pressures, according to PFF.

In addition to Robinson being listed as limited, Vikings tight end Josh Oliver missed his fourth straight practice on Wednesday as he continues to deal with injuries to both his wrist and ankle. Oliver didn't play in Week 12 against the Bears, and with him missing another practice, it seems possible that he won't be on the field in Week 13 either.

Luckily, Minnesota tight end T.J. Hockenson looked back to his normal self last weekend for the first time since returning from his knee injury earlier this season, and that helped a ton in making up for the loss of Oliver.

If Hockenson can continue to perform like he did last week when the Vikings face Arizona on Sunday, then no one is even going to notice if Oliver plays or not.
