The Seattle Seahawks made sure to welcome their new defensive lineman Byron Murphy II with a memorable moment.
The rookie was left stunned after a prank played by his teammates at a team dinner on Thursday night.
The prank, which has become a lighthearted tradition for rookies in the NFL, involved Murphy being handed a dinner bill that appeared to total a jaw-dropping $155,788.77, including a hefty $23,000 tip.
In a video shared by Fox Sports' Jordan Schultz on Instagram, Murphy looked absolutely horrified as he glanced at the massive figure on the bill.
His teammates, including linebacker Uchenna Nwosu, had a good laugh as Murphy believed he was responsible for paying this eye-popping amount. However, the real bill was much smaller-$38,015.82.
As the prank unfolded, fans watching the video couldn't contain their reactions.

"Ima have to squabble with everybody in that restaurant before I'm paying that," one fan commented.
"Bro was devastated ," another joked.
"Dude just spent his mom's mortgage on dinner," another fan quipped.
Meanwhile, many fans couldn't help but say the same to the real bill.
"38K still way too much ," a commenter said.
"What are people eating for 38k tho?," another asked.
"Even 38k is ridiculous," a fan agreed.
Despite the shock of a $38,000 dinner, fans could only imagine the panic Murphy felt when he thought he owed over $155,000.
Murphy, 22, is currently in the first year of his four-year rookie contract, worth $16 million, per Spotrac. He'll make just under $3 million this season, with his paycheck growing each year until he reaches $5.1 million in 2027.
With the Seahawks set to face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, Murphy can rest easy knowing he won't be paying the massive dinner bill anytime soon.
