The Atlanta Falcons are mixing it up in their running back room with an intriguing addition.
On Tuesday, the Falcons announced the signing of Jashaun Corbin, who just led the UFL in rushing.
To make room, Atlanta released RB Jase McClellan.
McClellan was a sixth-round pick out of Alabama in 2024 after 890 yards (8 TDs) in his final season with the Crimson Tide.
The Falcons only got McClellan 19 offensive snaps as a rookie before a knee injury ended his season.
Corbin is a cool add who made his time this spring in the UFL pay off.
In 10 games played, Corbin ran for 514 yards on 97 carries, which works out to 5.3 yards per carry.
Before pro football, Corbin played at both Texas A&M and Florida State.
He was on the Giants as an undrafted rookie in 2023, and he caught three passes and ran one time.
Corbin, 24, also spent time on the Carolina practice squad.
He was with the Giants at the start of the 2024 season but went on Injured Reserve in August.
Back healthy this spring, Corbin showed he still has some solid ability.
The Falcons don't need a ton of help at running back, already rostering stars Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier.
But among a group of less proven backs like Carlos Washington Jr., Elijah Dotson and Nathan Carter, Corbin has a chance to stick around.
