The Green Bay Packers saw several players report to training camp on Friday even though most of them are not required to be present at Lambeau Field until next week. Quarterbacks, rookies, and injured players, though, were required to report early.
Indeed, Packers fans have been anxious for the start of training camp as the NFL offseason has dragged on for months. Not only are they hopeful that Green Bay can take the next step and establish itself as one of the NFL’s most dangerous teams, but they are also interested in seeing how various players do in camp and whether or not they will make the roster.
Unfortunately for two players, their time with the Packers has come to an end before training camp even began.
The Green Bay Packers Have Cut Defensive Linemen Nesta Jade Silvera and Cameron Young

On Friday, it was reported that the Packers had already released two players, both defensive linemen, ahead of 2025 NFL training camp:
Jade Silvera was signed to a futures deal by the Packers back in March. Originally drafted in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft by the Las Vegas Raiders, he has appeared in nine games throughout his career and has registered eight tackles.
Last season, Jade Silvera was released by the Raiders on October 21, but signed with the San Francisco 49ers practice squad for the rest of the year.
Cameron Young was originally drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He played in 16 games as a rookie and registered 18 tackles. However, Young played in just one game last season due to injury and was waived this past April.
The Packers had signed Young back on June 10 of this year.
