Joan then appeared in Gerry Turner's Golden Bachelor season. Joan and Gerry were beginning to form a deep connection, but she had to leave the show early in order to attend to a family emergency.

Now Joan is ready for another chance at love during The Golden Bachelorette season 1. She began her journey with 24 men, and Guy has been a standout. When Joan met Guy on premiere night, she told him that he was very handsome. He made a great first impression on her when he sprayed some cologne, hoping that she'd remember him by his scent. They also had a fantastic time during the episode 2 '80s prom date, as well as the episode 3 kickball group date. Guy Is A Very Kind-Hearted Man

Guy is a 66-year-old emergency room doctor from Reno, Nevada. According to his ABC bio, Guy has been a doctor for nearly 40 years, and he wants to meet someone with whom to share the rest of his life. Guy is a father of four and a grandfather of one. He wants to prove that older men still have a zest for life. Some fun facts about Guy are that he is planning to hike Mount Kilimanjaro this fall, he dreams about the Dallas Cowboys winning a Super Bowl, and he's a Beatlemaniac.

In addition to his relationship with Joan, Guy has been highlighted in The Golden Bachelorette season 1 because of his kindness towards his fellow contestants. Charles Ling sought out Guy's medical expertise when he asked him a question that's haunted him since his wife passed away six years ago from an aneurysm. He always wondered why she had blood in her mouth when she had her aneurysm. Guy explained to Charles that she probably bit her tongue when she fell, but it had nothing to do with the aneurysm.

Guy gently told Charles that he didn't have to keep thinking about it and fixating on why it happened, and he assured him that there was nothing that anyone could have done. Charles felt immense relief at having finally gotten an answer to his question.

In addition to this touching moment, Guy also showed his kindness when Kim wrote a song for Joan, which he wanted all of his fellow contestants to perform with him. The only man who agreed to it was Guy, and it made Kim (and Joan) very happy. Throughout The Golden Bachelorette season 1 so far, Guy has proven that he's pure of heart, and would make a wonderful match for Joan.

Joan Doesn't Choose Guy At The End Of The Golden Bachelorette

Guy Does Receive A Hometown Date & A Fantasy Suite Date

Although The Golden Bachelorette preview revealed that Joan and Guy's connection grows in episode 4, according to an Instagram post from Reality Steve, she didn't choose him in the end. However, he did receive a hometown date, along with Jordan Heller, Pascal Ibgui, and Chock Chapple. After the hometown dates, Joan said goodbye to Jordan, which meant that Guy, Pascal, and Chock received overnight Fantasy Suite dates. Those dates took place in Tahiti.

However, Reality Steve is unsure about what exactly happened next. He revealed that Pascal self-eliminated from The Golden Bachelorette at either the final three or the final two because he wasn't in love with Joan. Joan chose Chock in the end, but Reality Steve was unsure if they got engaged. This means that Guy was finished in Joan's top three or was her runner-up. Hopefully, Guy won't be too heartbroken when Joan says goodbye to him.

It'll be interesting to see why The Golden Bachelorette's Guy and Joan break up. They seem to have a lot in common, but Joan clearly felt a stronger connection with Chock. It's fantastic to hear that Joan found love with Chock. However, it's going to be a roller coaster of emotions when Pascal leaves and Joan has to end her relationship with Guy. Hopefully, Guy will have a second chance to find love too, as the star of The Golden Bachelor season 2.
