Grant & Alexe Had An Immediate Connection

During Grant's one-on-one time with Alexe, he told her that she stood out to him because she was full of energy, and he loved that. Alexe said that she's a speech therapist, but she feels as though she needs speech therapy because she talks superfast. However, Grant said that he understood her.

Alexe told him that she loved that he was supercalming because she felt like she was a ball of energy. She said that she needed someone grounding, and that Grant could be that for her. In his confessional, Grant shared that he really liked Alexe's vibe. He explained that she was somebody that he could get along with, have fun, and really be himself.

Alexe then told Grant that, because she's a speech therapist, and she works with kids teaching them sounds and language, she thought that she could teach him French. She added that it's really important to her that her significant other at least tries to speak French because she thinks it's "really hot." Grant said that he'd never spoken French before. In the last part of the French lesson, Alexe had Grant ask her if she wanted to end the lesson with a kiss. They then shared their first kiss.

In his confessional, Grant shared that Alexe showed him the full picture of who she is. He gushed that she's funny, really smart, and she works with kids. Grant predicted that Alexe was going to make a great mother, and that's what he was excited about: building his own family.

Grant later gave Alexe the first impression rose, which meant that she would also be going on the first one-on-one date of the season with him. He told her that he really enjoyed their time. He said that, aside from being beautiful, he thought that she was funny, smart, and intelligent, and that he had a great time. Alexe agreed that she did too. Grant then asked Alexe if she would accept the first impression rose, and they shared another kiss.

In her confessional, Alexe said that she was so happy, and it was very validating that Grant was seeing her for who she was and enjoying her "little quirks." Alexe then told Grant that she couldn't feel her legs, and they laughed. She asked if it was a good thing or a bad thing, and he said that it was a good thing. In her confessional, Alexe shared, "The fact that I get the rose and the one-on-one is just so frickin' special." She then screamed and said, "Sorry! Oh my Gosh! I'm going on the first date! No, this is so exciting!"

Alexe & Grant Don't Get Engaged

Although Alexe and Grant seemed to form an immediate connection, they don't get engaged at the end of The Bachelor season 29. On his official website, Reality Steve revealed that Alexe and Grant's one-on-one date was shown in a Bachelor preview (shared via the Bachelor Nation on ABC YouTube channel), when Grant was singing at the piano with her. In the preview, Alexe said that she wasn't used to dating emotional guys that write women songs and play the piano. She said that she was having the best time of her life.

During the week of the fourth rose ceremony, Grant and the women traveled to Madrid, where Alexe participated in a group date in which eight of the women had to dress up like matadors and ride a mechanical bull. Alexe rode the bull the longest. During the week of The Bachelor season 29's fifth rose ceremony , Grant and the women went to Edinburgh, Scotland for the week before hometowns. Reality Steve was unsure about all of the dates, but he revealed that Grant said goodbye to Alexe right before his hometown dates. Grant was in the same situation when Jenn eliminated him from her Bachelorette season right before her hometown dates.
