Dexter Lawrence shares fiery halftime speech Brian Daboll gave the NY Giants

Plenty of people are still celebrating the NY Giants win over the Seahawks in Week 5 and rightfully so - when Brian Daboll needed his guys to deliver late in the action, they stepped up big time. However, the execution wasn't there for the four quarters, which is something Daboll isn't going to accept from his playmakers.

Minnesota Vikings v New York Giants

Daboll was animated throughout the contest, including right before half when the Seahawks drove down the field in the blink of an eye to kick a field goal. Dexter Lawrence, who was amazing in the win, didn't love the way the second quarter ended either.

As it turns out, Daboll ripped into his players for falling asleep on defense, while he also wasn't happy with some of the misses on offense. It was enough to wake up the entire team, as they looked much sharper in the second half and were able to close out a 29-20 win. So, what did Coach Dabes tell his guys inside of the locker room? Thanks to The Athletic's Dan Duggan, we have our answer:

Brian Daboll was furious with his players at halftime in Seattle

"Coach Dabes came in here yelling at us, saying, 'We can't be doing the bull**** that we were doing.' If it was dropping a ball or letting them out of the pocket or whatever. That's how we lose. It was a lot of praise. It was more of, 'Let's dig in and finish this game.'"

You've got to love that from Daboll. The score was 10-10 at the break, but there was no reason the G-Men shouldn't have been up at that time. This is something Daboll knew, which is why he decided to lay into his players a bit. It worked, as things were much better in the third and fourth quarters.

Daniel Jones put together arguably his best performance of the year, while the defense was spectacular putting pressure on Geno Smith. Lawrence had three sacks on his own, completely dominating the battles in the trenches with the Seattle hosses.

While there was some worry late, the Isaiah Simmons blocked field goal and Bryce Ford-Wheaton TD return was incredible. With that win, the Giants improved to 2-3 on the year. Daboll firing up his team at half may have made the difference in this one too. NY supporters are loving the passion out of the third-year head coach.
