Denver Broncos Urged to Make Bold Move for Six-Time Pro Bowler to Fix Major Roster Hole—Could This Be the Game-Changer They Need?

We are currently in the third or fourth wave of NFL Free Agency, but plenty of talent exists. While few franchise-altering players are left on the market, a handful of impactful veterans remain.

Denver Broncos Told to Target Six-Time Pro Bowler

One of those veterans has been linked to the Denver Broncos. According to Bleacher Report's Moe Moton , the Broncos would be a good fit for six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Keenan Allen.

Moton noted:

As a rookie, Caleb Williams relied on Allen in a directionless offense that finished with the second-fewest passing yards and 28th in scoring for the 2024 campaign. The veteran receiver converted first downs on 43 out of his 70 catches. He can do the same for a team with a young quarterback in the upcoming term.

After spending his first 11 seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers, Allen played one season with the Chicago Bears, where he recorded 70 receptions, 744 receiving yards, and seven touchdowns in 15 games. Over his career, he has compiled an impressive resume, including 974 receptions, 11,274 receiving yards, 66 touchdowns, and 598 first downs.

On paper, Allen's signing with the Broncos makes a lot of sense. Denver Head Coach Sean Payton wants to surround quarterback Bo Nix with as much talent as possible, and Allen would offer a reliable option in the intermediate area of the field.

However, the Broncos may wait until after the 2025 NFL Draft to pursue any veteran wide receiver. While this year's wide receiver class may not have a lot of elite talent at the top, it's considered fairly deep overall.
