On where WR Stefon Diggs is at mentally
DeMeco: Speaking to him, it is like anybody would be, it's tough. It's tough news to hear especially with how much he pours into it. That is one guy that gave his all to everything that we have ever asked him to do. He is hurting, of course, and we are hurting for him as well.
On if he got a sense that it was bad once WR Stefon Diggs got off the field
DeMeco: We were still trying to figure it out. You never make any determinations there on the field. There are a lot of evaluations and tests and things you have to go through before you understand what the injury truly is.
On how much WR Stefon Diggs brought to the wide receiver room
DeMeco: “Stef” [WR Stefon Diggs] has brought more to our team than I can explain to everyone just standing here today. The leadership aspect off the field, not only as you mentioned with the receivers but its with working with him in training camp and seeing him pull the DB's aside and talk to the DB's about covering. That is when you know you have a special pro who is truly paying it forward, reaching back helping the younger guys and that is how the game is built. That is what the league is all about. It's about pros like “Stef” who are able to teach younger guys and those younger guys teaching the next generation of guys. I love everything about Stef and what he brought to our team, we are just praying for him to get back healthy and strong.
