Clippers Emerge as Potential Landing Spot for Bulls' DeMar DeRozan

DeMar DeRozan was the most impactful player on the Chicago Bulls this past season. With his contract expiring this offseason, the Bulls' front office faces a major decision regarding the veteran forward. Previous reports indicated DeRozan would likely re-sign with Chicago as long as the money and contract were there.

Report: Clippers could target Demar DeRozan if Paul…

Now, a second option has emerged. Per Michael Scotto of HoopsHype , the Los Angeles Clippers could target DeRozan if they can't re-sign Paul George in free agency.

An NBA Offseason Puzzle

Paul George has been linked to the Philadelphia 76ers, who are desperate to turn things around and have the money to land a big name this offseason. That means Bulls guard Zach LaVine could be a potential Philadelphia trade target.

Should George depart the Clippers, it would open the door for DeMar DeRozan to head home to Los Angeles where he'd be paired with two-way stalwart Kawhi Leonard. Landing DeRozan would fill a need for the Clippers as he provides clutch-time prowess and durability. DeRozan played in 79 games while George and Leonard battled injuries throughout the 2023-24 season.

But again, George is the key factor in this potential scenario. The Clippers can't make the salary cap space work for DeRozan if George re-signs.
