The Kansas City Chiefs will look to improve their lead in the AFC West and the conference when they host the Los Angeles Chargers for "Sunday Night Football." Ahead of the primetime matchup, both teams released their inactive
Earlier in the week, the Chiefs placed receiver and return specialist Mecole Hardman on injured reserve with a knee injury that he suffered on Friday. In response to that move, Kansas City promoted undrafted receiver Nikko Remigio to their active roster. Remigio will be making his NFL debut.
Hardman now joins Rashee Rice and Marquise Browns as the third receiver on the Chiefs' roster to land on injured reserve. Patrick Mahomes will now have to rely heavily on his veteran weapons against a stout Chargers defense.
Aside from Hardman, there were no other players listed on the Chiefs' final injury report.
Pro Bowl left tackle DJ Humphries is also active and is expected to start in his Chiefs debut.
Meanwhile, the Chargers listed three players as questionable on their injury report, with the most notable name being rookie receiver Ladd McConkey, who is dealing with knee and shoulder ailments. McConkey leads the team with 815 receiving yards, so Los Angeles being without their top receiver would be a massive loss.
Aside from McConkey, safety Tony Jefferson (hamstring) and linebacker Junior Colson (ankle) were listed as questionable. Inside linebacker Denzel Perryman is being listed as doubtful with a groin injury.
