Chicago Bears at Houston Texans Prop Bets

While Texans fans went home happy, Week One was a mixed bag for Texans; bettors. The over hit, but the Texans didn’t cover their -3.5 line. Diggs missed on his yardage bet of 58 yards by only going for 33 yards, but he did have two clutch TDs.

Joe Mixon also cruised past his 15.5 rushing attempts and almost DOUBLED that amount with 30 rushes. That certainly surprised the entire league and raised eyebrows for how Bobby Slowik’s offense will evolve in its second season.

Stroud crushed his 1.5 passing touchdowns goal that was recommended in last week’s Prop Bet article. Even when the Texans rush the ball 30+ times, Stroud’s ability to pick defenses a part makes this bet enticing on a weekly basis.

With that, let’s head into the Texans Week Two matchup against the newly renovated Chicago Bears who come off a

For Fanduel’s Same Game Parlay (SGP) where $10 would’ve earned $2,234, bettors would’ve missed out on this bet by the sharpest of margins as Nico Collins didn’t catch a TD.

Don’t despair as Houston has a favorable matchup with the Chicago Bears on SNF. While the offense is still building steam, they have the opportunity to get rolling against a weak Bears defense. The parlays and prop bets will reflect a pro-Texans lean.

1st Quarter Prop: Joe Mixon to score a TD (+500)

I think Houston is going to come out and try to dominate the game on the ground. They have a better offense and want to control the game from the onset. Mixon’s role expanded beyond belief in his first week and there’s no signs of stopping against a Bears rush defense which allowed 140 yards to the Titans.

Fanduel Same Game Parlay of the Week

Fanduels’ most popular parlay is a flush of quarter spreads. Current bettors are hedging on the Texans taking an early lead throughout the game and riding that start to a nice victory. These point spreads are not too wide and when multiplied together offers a nice take home for whoever feels lucky enough. Given Caleb Williams’ troubles out of the gate against Tennessee, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Texans rush to get out ahead and force the young QB to beat them through the air.

First Scoring Play: Houston Texans Field Goal (+330)

Texans offense has been efficient, but not effective. They continue to struggle piercing through the red zone and routinely stalled in the Colts end of the field. Texans kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn had a fantastic kicking outing, going 3/3 and all three kicks being over 50 yards. Strategically, the Texans should focus on getting points on every drive rather than risking it for touchdowns. It shouldn’t take four touchdowns to beat the Bears, so starting the scoring off with a Texans field goal logically

D.J. Moore Last TD Scorer (+950)

This is an intriguing one. Under the thought process where the Texans are winning handily, Caleb Williams and th

Rookie receiver Rome Odunze will also be either out or severly limited due to a knee injury suffered in his first game. That’ll leave Moore with a higher target share and more opportunity to get a garbage time TD.

Tank Dell Anytime TD Scorer

Dell had a quiet game against the Colts and was mostly targeted on scramble plays. Against the Bears, he has the opportunity to be the primary target. The Bears nickel CB is Kyler Gordon a third year DB from Washington who was consistently targeted by Will Levis. Gordon allowed two of Tyler Boyd’s three catches of the day as well as allowed Calvin Ridley to nab a 22 yard catch. Dell can excel picking on the Bears’ weaker secondary.
