Chelsea Meissner Shares Updates on Being a Single Mom & Her "Imaginary" Boyfriend
The Southern Charm alum shared new information about her life as a single mom to her daughter.
Chelsea Meissner has finally opened up about motherhood for one of the first times since giving birth in 2023. After the Southern Charm alum welcomed her daughter into the world, she has lived a very private life, choosing not to reveal her name or her birthdate.
Earlier this month, Chelsea took to her Instagram Story, where she held a Q&A session and answered all of her Instagram followers' pressing questions about motherhood. The South Carolina resident revealed that motherhood has surprised her in so many positive ways, especially because it revealed that she has an endless "amount of love" inside of her.
"I feel physical pain when I'm away from my girl," she admitted. "She's ALL I need in life. Another wild thing that's so hard to put into words is how I immediately felt like I'd known her my whole life. She felt familiar straight out of the womb. It's all so wild."
Is Chelsea Meissner dating anyone?
No, she is not. She is very single, she revealed on her Instagram Story. Chelsea noted that she has an "imaginary" boyfriend. She also added that dating is hard as "I have a toddler."
Furthermore, she told one Instagram follower that she has no tips on dating. "I'm a 40 year old single mother," she explained. "If it were me, I'd cancel and find a good movie."
She further encouraged her Instagram followers to take the leap into being a mom, even if they don't have a partner. "As long as you have adequate help, it will be SO worth it," she explained. "YOU GOT THIS!"
Who is helping Chelsea Meissner raise her daughter?
In addition to revealing that she does not have a partner, she also admitted that her mom lives with her and helps with her daughter a lot. "I moved my mom in with me when I was 9 months pregnant and she has been a Godsend," she noted. "The three of us do everything together. I'm so fortunate to have top tier assistance. We're considering home schooling as well."
Chelsea Meissner reveals why she left Southern Charm
During that same Q&A session, Chelsea revealed that she had left Southern Charm after Season 6, because she had plans to move to New Zealand. "Those plans fell through, but the time off the show made me realize how much I enjoyed my peace and privacy," she explained. "It was fun while it lasted."
Chelsea also admitted that one of the reasons that she keeps her life so private is because she's busy being a mom. "My day to day is boring as hell," she said. "I promise you, it's not the content you would care to see. I also only use my phone when my child is asleep bc I'm trying my damnedest to keep her away from screens."
Speaking of screens, she shared why she hasn't shared photos of the baby, who she says is a year and a half, noting, "No judgement to those who post pics of their kids but I've decided against it for her safety."
