Charles Grant knows exactly what he needs to do to become 'unstoppable' with the Las Vegas Raiders

When you think about the Las Vegas Raiders' offensive line going into the 2025 season, there are certainly some questions. This new regime wants to see what some continuity can do for the line, which finished last year on a slightly better note than it started.

Their two tackles, Kolton Miller and now sophomore DJ Glaze, were top 10 in the league in blown blocks. The interior was not great either, but they played a tad bit better than the tackles did. You add in Alex Cappa, the former Cincinnati Bengals guard, who led the league in every category you don't want to lead the league in, and you have a very questionable offensive line.

When you watch the tape and you watch the film of the players that are on the team for 2025, there are certainly some good traits. But, the offensive line coaching was poor last year, they played in a run-blocking scheme that really didn't fit everyone's best skillset, and there was a bunch of moving around on the line due to injuries and such.

So, since this new regime really doesn't know if the offensive line is good or bad, they took some swings on some players on Day 2. The Raiders drafted offensive guard Caleb Rogers and offensive tackle Charles Grant. Both have some very high potential, and it will be interesting to see how or even if they get on the field in 2025.

But for Grant, this is a guy who he thinks could be unstoppable with some development.

"So, obviously I'd say fine-tuning my technique," Grant told reporters after he was drafted. "I have great athletic ability, but if I can put the perfect technique to that, I know I'd become a player that's unstoppable. I just have to fine-tune the techniques, that's the number one thing."

Grant played at an FCS school in William and Mary, and when you turn on the tape, he absolutely dominated anyone who was across from him. But, that doesn't mean he doesn't need more work done. Often times when you see guys dominate at the FCS level, they are usually really athlegtic, or really technichally sound. Usually they aren't both.

Grant has elite athleticism at his position but does need to work on some of the technical aspects of his game. Luckily, it's not that bad. He has some good handwork and footwork here and there, but could really use some work on his punches and his slide quickness.

With Miller looking for a contract extension, but no real talks being had yet with the team, there is a chance that the Raiders end up turning to Grant. Maybe Miller holds out, and Grant is thrown into the fire. Or, maybe Miller gets hurt and Grant is forced to play. There is also the possibility that Miller just plays out this year and becomes a free agent, and then Grant is the starter next year.
