Celtics injury report: 2 rotation players added for Clippers game

LOS ANGELES — The Celtics will look to string together some consistency as they take on the Clippers at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday at Intuit Dome. They could be missing some rotation players, though, as they have two players listed on their injury report for Tuesday’s game.

Jrue Holiday (right shoulder impingement) and Al Horford (left big toe sprain) are both questionable. Holiday has dealt with the right shoulder issue in the past, missing a few games because of it. He mentioned earlier this month it could be something that lingers going forward.

Horford being listed on the injury report is no surprise. The C’s have a back-to-back coming up as they take on the Lakers on Wednesday at Crypto.com Arena. Considering Horford and Kristaps Porzingis don’t play both games of back-to-backs, the C’s are likely staggering their big men for each game.

The Celtics are coming off a 40-point victory over the Warriors on Monday as they overwhelmed their shorthanded foes. They blew the game open in the third quarter as they improved to 30-13 on the season. But one-game blowouts haven’t been rare for the C’s amid their struggles — it’s been more about stringing together consistent high-quality basketball games.

The Clippers should be another test for the Celtics as they’re 24-18 and fifth in the West. The C’s blew out the Clippers in Boston back on Nov. 25 in a 32-point victory. That was also Porzingis' first game of the season as he was a surprise addition to the lineup.
