After Caroline Stanbury and Sergio Carrallo tied the knot in December 2021, the conversation around welcoming a child together often arose during Season 1 of The Real Housewives of Dubai. On Season 2 of the show, the couple discussed the topic further as Caroline joked in an interview confessional that "Sergio's ovaries [were] on fire" as of late.
However, Caroline wasn't as eager to expand their family just yet. "I currently have one baby boy embryo on ice, where he can stay for the foreseeable future," Caroline (who shares three children with her ex-husband, Cem Habib) said in Episode 1, which aired on June 2. Caroline briefly spoke about where she stands in her journey today during Part 2 of the RHODubai reunion and also touched upon the subject more in an August interview with The Daily Dish.
At the time, the Ladies of London alum shared an update on her and Sergio's current status regarding having a child. "We’re so busy at the moment, and we’re kind of putting it on hold," Caroline shared during our exclusive chat. Still, because surrogacy is now legal in the Middle East, she and Sergio are getting closer to having a baby.
"I’ve made one phone call so far to an agency, but it seems so weird," she shared. "And now they call me to [see if I would] like to go see the agency in Abu Dhabi which makes it very real because it’s less than 45 minutes away."
Caroline added that Sergio is "more baby gaga than ever" these days.
"My neighbors just had a baby. I’m praying they’ll drop it off for a couple of days," she joked, also noting that Sergio's father is extra supportive of the venture.
