- DL: After a three-week stretch in which he didn’t have a sack, Myles Garrett has now registered three sacks in a game in two of his last three outings. He earned the top grade from PFF with a 90.4. Dalvin Tomlinson also had four quarterback hits, and Maurice Hurst had a key fourth down stop.
- LB: Jordan Hicks graded out to an 86.0 by PFF, which would be his best game as a member of the Browns, to my recollection. With Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah still out indefinitely, it looks like Mohamoud Diabate and Devin Bush will continue to split those reps the rest of the way.
- CB: I didn’t think Greg Newsome had the best outing again, and he only played in 42% of the snaps. However, he was out there on the final Hail Mary, getting in a scuffle with WR George Pickens. After the game, he called Pickens a “fake tough guy.” Between that and what Grant Delpit did to him, you can bet that the re-match in Pittsburgh will be a bit intense.
- S: Leading the Browns in tackles was Grant Delpit, with 10 combined. Juan Thornhill’s effort was questioned against the Saints, and his reps were cut in half again. However, he gave some more hustle against Pittsburgh, and vows to play like that the rest of the season:
After having his effort questioned on 1 play against the #Saints by #Browns coaches, Juan Thornhill vows to never let that happen again. He also talked about getting blamed by fans and media for blown coverages in the secondary pic.twitter.com/2UEIVA2S6Y
