Since Week 8, the overall fan confidence in the Denver Broncos has not dipped below 87% and has been above 91% in all but one week until now. That’s how bad the second half against the Los Angeles Chargers was for a good chunk of us.
Compared to the last eight years, however, fan confidence is still a solid 78% and higher than most other teams in the league.
That said, I think many of us are starting to understand that there are a couple of critical weaknesses that team’s are beginning to exploit.
If you look at the last four games, two wins needed game-changing defensive scores and one of those games needed two game-changing defensive scores. The offense has been living on a knife’s edge and last week we saw it all come apart in the second half against the Chargers.
Now, they hit the road again to take on a Cincinnati Bengals team that I would consider more dangerous than the Chargers despite their record. Can they get things going for 60 minutes and close out a regular season with the franchise’s first playoff berth since 2015? I sure hope so!
