The Cleveland Browns have improved a lot as an organization on and off the field in the past few years, but this week, the NFL released their team report cards, and they weren’t very kind to them. 1,706 players around the league provided the NFLPA information about the current team, and they took all of it and made report cards for every club. The Browns received a lot of bad grades in 11 categories, including treatment of families, food/cafeteria, nutritionist/dietician, locker room, training room, training staff, weight room, strength coaches, team travel, head coach, and owner.
Cleveland Browns Grades In Eye Opening Categories
The Browns received a D—for treatment of families, their lowest grade for a category. Cleveland also didn’t grade well in the locker room and received a D+, which probably has to do with how small the locker room is at Cleveland Browns Stadium. There isn’t much room for the players in there, and even though they only use it for games, usually less than ten times a year, the players still need room to move around and be by themselves a little.
The Browns’ best grade in the strength coaches category was a B+. Their head coach, Kevin Stefanski, received a B—, and owner Jimmy Haslam received a B.
Here are the grades in the other remaining six categories.
food/cafeteria C+
nutritionist/dietician C+
Training Room C+
Training Staff B-
Weight Room D
Team Travel D
The Browns were either in the bottom or middle part of every single category, and it is a good thing these rankings have nothing to do with winning because the back-to-back Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, received a failing grade for a lot of different categories on their report card.
Hopefully, Cleveland’s report card will be better the next time one comes out, but I’m sure fans couldn’t care less about it if their team is pulling out wins every Sunday in the fall.
