Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs’ name has been floated in trade speculation in recent weeks, and an AFC contender could be the team coming knocking the loudest.
Doubs is simultaneously likely to open training camp atop the Packers’ depth chart, but could quickly find himself expendable and perhaps even as the odd-man-out, if first-round rookie Matthew Golden and his 4.29 speed quickly prove capable of making a major impact on Green Bay’s offense.

Given the logjam that the Packers have created at receiver, with Doubs, Jayden Reed, and Dontayvion Wicks joined by Golden and fellow rookie Savion Williams, Doubs makes some sense for receiver-needy teams ty aim to try to trade for before the 2025 NFL season kicks off.
Could the Pittsburgh Steelers Trade for Green Bay Packers WR Romeo Doubs?

After dealing George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys in a blockbuster trade, the Pittsburgh Steelers have reportedly been shopping for a playmaking wide receiver to pair with D.K. Metcalf. Doubs makes a lot of sense as a potential target.
Bleacher Report NFL Analyst Marcus Davenport suggests the Steelers are an ideal fit in what could be a robust market for Doubs’ services.
“There are no shortage of teams with passing-game deficiencies (looking at you, Pittsburgh),” Davenport writes for B/R. “So if the Packers really do decide to shop Doubs, finding a trade partner shouldn’t be especially difficult.”
Doubs, who has caught 147 passes for 1,700 yards with 15 touchdowns through his first three seasons has the skill set to elevate an offense, and if the Steelers come calling, would be an ideal complement opposite Metcalf in an offense hoping to stretch the field.
