Bears pick up 12.5-sack star to boost defense in latest mock draft

You can never have too many pass rushers.

That's especially true as the Chicago Bears try to take their next step forward.

The Sporting News senior NFL writer Vinnie Iyer wants Chicago to take an edge player with the No. 41 overall pick in this year's NFL Draft.

Iyer's projection: J.T. Tuimoloau out of Ohio State.

"The Bears need to boost their pass-rush support, and Tuimolau is a good rotational fit behind Montez Sweat and newcomer Dayo Odeyingbo," Iyer writes.

Tuimolau put up 12.5 sacks in the Buckeyes' national championship season.

At 6-foot-4, 270 pounds, he's made to get after the QB and be disruptive.

The Bears also have intriguing defensive line depth back for year two after using a couple picks last year up front, as well, so this is a chance to stay sturdy on the D-line.
