Bachelor Nation Disrespecting Jenn Tran Proves The Show Doesn't Care About Its Lead (The Bachelorette's Failure Isn’t Her Fault)

The Bachelorette season 21’s lead Jenn Tran has been getting disrespected by Bachelor Nation on social media, making it clear that the show doesn’t care about her at all. Jenn, who first appeared on The Bachelor season 28 with Joey Graziadei, was excited at the idea of finding true love on the series when she appeared as a contestant. Jenn’s time on The Bachelor was cut short when she got eliminated, but she was able to capture the hearts of Bachelor Nation. Being named the lead of The Bachelorette season 21, Jenn was ready to take control of her journey.

Jenn’s time as The Bachelorette has been more difficult than she expected when she was named the lead during The Bachelor: After The Final Rose. While Jenn was excited to be the first Asian-American Bachelorette lead, the representation surrounding her has been minimal since the season’s premiere. On top of her representation being diminished, the guys who were cast haven’t been the greatest group. Full of villains and guys who were there for the wrong reasons, Jenn has struggled to make genuine connections during her time on the show. With Bachelor Nation coming for her, many feel it’s Jenn’s fault.

Jenn Tran’s Bachelorette Season Has Been Disappointing

It Hasn’t Been What Jenn Expected

Although Jenn’s time as The Bachelorette has been fun for some, many Bachelor Nation viewers have found her time as the lead to be a disappointment. While Jenn was cast for Joey’s season of The Bachelor as a fun, effervescent person who made dark jokes and got everyone laughing, she’s been relegated to a different role as the lead of her own season. Though this does happen sometimes on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, Jenn’s season has been disappointing for other reasons. With a cast who doesn’t seem fully interested, Jenn’s connections haven’t felt as deep or genuine this season.

While Jenn isn’t to blame for the connections with her guys falling flat, many Bachelor Nation viewers have been blaming her for the issues anyway. With some incredibly rude viewers in Jenn’s comments on social media, Bachelorette viewers have been telling Jenn she’s boring as the lead, complaining about the way she’s treated some of the guys on her season, and have generally sent some shameful comments to The Bachelorette. While Jenn has been classy and kind in the way she speaks to Bachelor Nation on social media, some have been disregarding her sweet nature to be rude to her.

Jenn Deserves Bachelor Nation’s Care & Respect

She Shouldn’t Be Blamed For The Issues

After years of dealing with seasons that don’t live up to initial expectations, Bachelor Nation should know better than to blame Jenn for the way her season has gone. Rather than spamming her with comments about her being a boring or bad lead, Bachelor Nation should be supportive of Jenn and the difficulties she’s faced as the lead. If Bachelor Nation is looking for someone to be angry at, The Bachelorette producers should be who they’re pointing the finger at. Rather than taking care of Jenn throughout her season, they’ve made things too difficult for her to succeed or thrive.

The Bachelorette airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
