Ariana Madix Reveals the Popular Dish She “Hated” at SUR and Ranks Lisa Vanderpump’s Restaurants

Ariana Madix recalled the food she “hated” at Lisa Vanderpump’s SUR restaurant and revealed what she “didn’t like” about Pump, the now-defunct Vanderpump Rules star’s other establishment.

Earlier this month, reporter Maureen Callahan shared that Lisa and Ariana “did not speak” during the past White House Correspondents’ dinner, though all three of them were at the same table. The reporter hinted that Ariana was on her phone the whole time and acted like she was too big to join in the conversation. Maureen also called her an “a**hole.”

Playing a ‘Never Have I Ever’ game in an interview for Delish, Ariana was asked about Lisa’s restaurant.

“In front of me, I have five different candies, ranging from a little sour to painfully sour. I’ll have to answer a series of never–have–I–ever scenarios. For everything I have done, I’ll have to [eat a piece of candy],” said Ariana, who then read her first scenario: “Never have I ever hated a dish on the SUR menu.”

She then ate a piece of candy.

“The menu’s changed now, I think,” she said, via @vanderpodrecaps on Instagram. “So this is [not a] SUR diss.” Later on, Ariana revealed the dish.

“I don’t like the goat cheese balls,” said the star. “I don’t want to be mean, but … [this is coming from] someone who loves goat cheese.”

She was then asked to rank Lisa’s three establishments: SUR, TomTom, and Pump.

“TomTom’s the best,” she answered, referring to the bar named after her ex-boyfriend Tom Sandoval and his friend Tom Schwartz. “Pump had its good parts. What I didn’t like about Pump was not about the food or the drinks. It was more about the layout … trying to walk through and get through all these trees and tables and curlicue wrought–iron chairs everywhere.”

“[And] the ground was uneven,” she went on. “So if you were in heels, [it was difficult]. That’s kind of my beef with Pump.”

“And SUR is last,” she said. “I’m so sorry.”

Last year, the entire cast of Vanderpump Rules was replaced with new stars.
