Alabama football will be a receiver short on Saturday when it faces Vanderbilt. The SEC’s most recent availability report, released Friday evening, listed Kendrick Law as out.

Law was injured during the Crimson Tide’s Saturday win over Georgia in Tuscaloosa, suffering what head coach Kalen DeBoer described as a “lower-body injury.” DeBoer had said Law was day-to-day in the week leading up to the Vanderbilt game.

“I don’t know what he’ll be,” DeBoer said immediately after the Georgia game. “But it’s unfortunate, because I thought he really had a great week or two of practice and kept building too, a lot. He was really juiced up before the game.”

Law had one catch for 19 yards against the Bulldogs. He has two grabs for 41 yards and a touchdown so far this season.

The junior from Louisiana plays a major role in the run game for the Crimson Tide, excelling as a blocker and constantly earning praise from the UA coaches for that element of his game. The Alabama rushing attack suffered without him on the field against Georgia.

Alabama also listed Justin Jefferson on the report, as probable for Saturday’s game. He played against the Bulldogs after being listed.

Starting in the 2024 season, the SEC requires teams to release daily availability reports beginning Wednesday of conference game weeks. Final reports are released 90 minutes before kickoff.

Alabama and Vanderbilt are scheduled to kick off at 3:15 p.m. CT Saturday in Nashville. The game will be aired on SEC Network.
