Adam Schefter Names Chargers as Potential Landing Spot for Jalen Ramsey

The Miami Dolphins have had the displeasure of needing to focus on everything except football this offseason. Adam Schefter Names Chargers as Potential Landing Spot for Jalen Ramsey - Athlon Sports

They are in the midst of a back-and-forth battle with star wide receiver Tyreek Hill as he changes his mind repeatedly about whether he wants to remain with the team or not.

To add insult to injury, Miami is also attempting to trade cornerback Jalen Ramsey while also getting back satisfactory compensation after the sides mutually agreed a split would be in their best interests.

Teams have been calling to check in on the 30-year-old who is still one of the best corners in the league, but Hill has made it his mission to keep him with the Dolphins.

Despite the former Kansas City Chiefs star’s best efforts, Miami is still engaging with teams about a potential Ramsey trade.

While nothing is imminent, Adam Schefter of ESPN has outlined a few teams who are in the running for the seven-time Pro Bowler.

“I think when you’re trying to figure out a home for Jalen Ramsey, two teams that make sense, and we’ll see how it plays out, would both be in Los Angeles, be it the Chargers or the Rams,” he said

It would be hard to imagine Ramsey going back to the Rams after they just traded him to shed cap space a couple seasons ago.

However, Los Angeles has always been an ultra-aggressive team, so perhaps they’d be open to a reunion.

The Los Angeles Chargers seem like a much more likely destination because they still have a ton of cap space and are in the market for another cornerback.

It remains to be seen if Miami will offload Ramsey, but if they do, the Chargers should do everything in their power to acquire him.
