Aaron Donald Stuns With Shirtless Physique Amid Retirement Life

Aaron Donald apparently isn't neglecting the gym in retirement.

Thirteen months ago, Donald ended his NFL career after 10 dominant seasons. The Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle received his 10th Pro Bowl and eighth first-team All-Pro nod in 2023 before retiring.

Although he's done terrorizing opposing quarterbacks, Donald is still staying in shape. On Monday, the 33-year-old showed off his ripped physique in an Instagram Stories video of him flexing during a workout.

"This is what retired life look like," Donald wrote.

Donald amassed 111 sacks and 24 forced fumbles during a career that will soon earn him entry into the Hall of Fame. The three-time Defensive Player of the Year retired while still playing at an elite level.

Shortly after his announcement, Donald explained his decision during an interview with his wife, Erica.

"I think the passion to play the game is no longer there for me," Donald said in March 2024. "I will always love football, but to think about going through another camp and another 17-(game) season, I just don't got the urge to want to push myself through that no more. I'm just, I'm burnt out.

"The best way to say it is I'm full, I'm complete. I'm satisfied with what I was able to do in 10 years. I think it's time for me, at 32 years old, to retire from football and jump into the next step of my career, my life. Now it's time to move on."

However, it appears Donald hasn't lost his desire to exercise.

After all, this is the same workout fiend who pushed a Make-a-Wish kid hard enough in the gym to puke. Last month, former Rams teammate Matthew Stafford recalled a high school football player and cancer survivor throwing up after spending time in the weight room with Donald.

"Definitely a workout I will never forget," Kyle Frazier wrote in response to Stafford telling his story on the New Heights podcast. "But you forgot the part where I came back and finished."

After Donald posted his workout video, he may receive some calls from Rams brass asking about a potential comeback in 2025.
