A Fuming Finn Confronts Grace —and Eric Pushes the Panic Button About Nick’s Possible Proposal

In Italy, Brooke informs Ridge that she’s waiting for Nick. Ridge picks this time to finally apologize for being a jerk when she took the CEO position. He was wrong and never meant to cause her pain. They establish that they’ll always love each other. She coaxes, “Is that all you came here to say?” Brooke leans in and repeats, “What is it you really want to tell me?” as Nick appears. He chortles that they have plans to spend the day together and Brooke walks off with him.

In a suite, Eric takes a call from Donna, who misses her Honeybear. He launches right into complaining about Nick Marone showing up with an agenda and an engagement ring. Donna is somehow shocked that Brooke was seen kissing him. She orders her husband to find Ridge right now. Meanwhile, Brooke and Nick wander around Naples eating gelatos.

When Ridge shows up, he’s agitated. Eric learns Brooke went off with Brooke and rants about time running out. He warns that Nick is going to propose.

In the harbor, Nick shows Brooke his boat and they prepare to head off on an adventure. Nick pulls out his phone to check if the boat’s ready to go and tells Brooke they’re all set. “Just the two of us.”

Finn Grows More Suspicious

At Bill’s place, Liam’s head bandage is back, and he’s moved to the couch. His father tells him he’s so glad he’s going to be OK. Finn arrives with a doctor bag in hand and Bill declares that Liam’s remarkable recovery is a miracle… thanks to Grace Buckingham.

Finn warns of possible complications and Liam and Bill both promise the patient won’t over do it. Finn asks if Dr. Buckingham has gone over the need for physical therapy with them. Bill says she hasn’t and declares another miracle. Finn frowning with clearly growing suspicions, grunts, “Yeah, yeah. Another miracle.”

Finn says that this experimental treatment could change the way they treat all cancers. He can’t believe he was unaware of it and that it came seemingly out of nowhere. Liam’s fine with being a guinea pig and Bill’s happy he could give him hope. Finn reels as he learns Bill paid one million dollars for the surgery. He begins grilling Bill about who he paid, but he shrugs that he didn’t pay attention. Liam remarks on Grace saving him after what her ex-husband did to him and Hope (stealing their baby girl and letting them think she was dead). Liam remembers it was to pay off gambling debts and a lightbulb seems to go on in Finn’s mind.

What’s Going On With Grace?

In her office, Grace hollers at someone through the phone that this is over, “Never bother me or my daughters again, do you hear me?!” She disconnects and nervously looks at head scans on her laptop.

A nurse knocks and enters and Grace snaps at her. She then apologizes and mentions she’s under a lot of pressure right now (maybe because she just scammed Bill Spencer?). Once alone, she picks up the phone and seemingly confirms just that as she tells her daughter Paris how much she loves her and there is nothing she wouldn’t do for her and her sisters. After, she looks at Liam’s scans again… and then deletes his medical history!

Back in his office, Finn gets on his laptop and finds everything in Liam’s file since his brain bleed has been deleted. Meanwhile, in her office, Grace thinks back through telling Finn that Liam had an inoperable brain tumor and selling Bill on the experimental surgery. Suddenly, Finn appears. With a bit of a menacing grin, he reports that he was just at Bill’s checking on Liam after such an invasive procedure. She says he’s lucky. Finn says he’s also lucky Bill had a million dollars to pay. “What’s going on, Grace? I want answers… and I want them now.”
